Enjoyment Week

Hadn't really been blogging because I was tied up at work and course this week. I was supposed to attend a Sun Ray Administration Training course at Sun Education Center from tuesday till friday.

However, on the first day of the course, I was already sick, I attended with fever for the morning session, managed to endure till the lunch break where I hurried down a plate of chicken rice for $3.50 and bought some paracetamols. I got off the fever but not long before it came back before dinner. I met my secondary school friend for dinner, dispatched the disc packaging my friend asked me to do for him and KK from Saxband.

I tried sleeping the fever off at 10pm, but obviously it didn't work very well, but still ok. I was enjoying my PSP on the bus to course @ Orchard Road till my handphone rang. My colleague asked me to go down to the datacenter to help out in recovering the production systems that went down since Sunday (and NOW they ask me to go down?). Obviously, I had to skip my course lesson for the 2nd day. Hais...

So I got there, and my boss isn't at the place and stipulated time. I had to try to get my way in into the data center, finally I did when my project manager saw me and finally authorised me in. I spent the whole day with my boss and suffering with fever relapse (in the cold server room) and finally... my PM and the DBA was going to take a break from working overnight for two days my boss asked me to stand by till the DB was recovered from tape. That would mean 4~5am. Haiz... the things I do, and I get paid peanuts.

Filled with fever, I tried to get some rest at the datacenter, the people were kind enough to bring me some place that I could rest with no people around and I managed to get some rest till 4 and I was informed by my friend (who was working in Singtel, we met in Poly). My boss also arrived, everybody that should arrive, arrived. I stayed for a while before I head home. Since I was going to go for course, I might as well went for gym instead. Long story, but I still had a birthday celebration in the evening, I'll blog about it later.
